We sit at the intersection of creativity, hospitality and rest.
Our experiences are built for beginners and experienced makers alike. The point is never a perfect result. It's enjoying the making, without judgement.
Every guest leaves with a finished piece of their own, made, not bought, and proof of an afternoon well spent.
Billie & Blake began with pet portraits, painted during lockdown. I loved making them, until commissioned work turned creativity into performance — I was chasing what I thought a client wanted, and the thing that had always brought me joy stopped feeling joyful. I stepped away from making things almost entirely.
I found my way back slowly, and creativity started being about how it made me feel rather than the result. I realised how many people carry the same belief: that they aren't creative, or that they've left it too late. So I started Sip & Create, an evening and weekend community for people making things after work. Eight people came to the first one. It's since grown into a community of hundreds.
Billie & Blake takes that same instinct and builds it into something more intentional — a creative hospitality experience where the setting, the hosting and the making all matter equally. I still plan every detail myself, drawing on ten years managing complex projects and events, so the experience feels effortless for the people in the room.
A wider programme of creative days is on the way. New seasons and settings will join the collection over time.
